(KNSI) – The second suspect wanted in connection to a potential rape that occurred in late 2024 on the St. Cloud State University campus is in custody.
Sujan Tamang turned himself in to the New York Police Department on Friday, February 28th. Tamang is being held there until he can be extradited to Stearns County. The other suspect, Dipak Phayal, was arrested on February 27th in Fremont, California.
The two had fled the state after being questioned over an incident that took place in a dorm room early on November 1st. More details about that case are here.
Tamang was wanted for aiding and abetting criminal sexual conduct through coercion and acting as an accomplice. No timeline has been given over when he will be returned.
