(KNSI) – The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources wants your thoughts about fishing on two popular lakes in Stearns County.

Public comment for Lake Koronis and Rice Lake, near Paynesville, will be taken until February 28th. The DNR wants to know what kind of fishing experience you want. Are there fish habitat concerns you’d like to share? What species of fish are most important to you? Do you like catching fewer big fish or a lot of smaller fish? The plans establish fish limits and regulations for each lake and act as guides for biologists.

The DNR wants to hear about observations or general concerns about the fishing on these lakes. The agency is looking for input from individuals, lake associations, outdoor groups, conservation organizations, as well as local government.
