(KNSI) – Benton County will hear from residents in March on setting rental rates for a new space in its largest park.

In the fall, the county made improvements at Bend in the River Regional Park near Rice using $789,000 from a Minnesota Clean Water, Land and Legacy grant and $938,000 in county funds. Part of those upgrades was the construction of a 40×44′ picnic shelter.

The county is proposing a rental fee of $100 for a full day’s use with a $30 shelter damage deposit. Non-profits could use the building for $75. The commissioners will take the public’s two cents on March 4th at 9:00 a.m. in the Benton County Boardroom in Foley.
