(KNSI) — GREAT Theater has announced its lineup for the 2025/2026 season. Well, almost all of them.

Big hair, big makeup, and big shoulder pads were the hallmarks of 1980, but it was the big hit title song that got stuck in our heads. 9 to 5: The Musical (with lyrics and music by none other than Dolly Parton) is based on the film of the same name, which follows three work besties who are sick and tired of their sexist slimeball of a boss. Pushed to the boiling point, the three concoct a plan to kidnap their supervisor and turn the tables. Will the plan work out, or will it be sullied by an unexpected visit?

It’s the twilight of the Jazz Age in late 1920s Berlin as the Nazis rise to power, Cabaret is set inside the seedy Kitty Kat Club. It explores the nightlife and revolves around an American writer’s relationship with an English cabaret performer. It also covers the doomed romance between the owner of a boarding house and a Jewish fruit vendor.

“Mr. Schneebly” and his musically gifted students take the stage in School of Rock, which is based on the 2003 Jack Black film of the same name. Dewey Finn finds himself fired from his job at the record store and kicked out of his band No Vacancy but discovers the talents of his students when he takes over his roommate’s identity as a substitute teacher. Pulling together a plan to compete at Battle of the Bands, the class is busted by the headmistress. Will it all unravel or will Dewey and the School of Rock make it to the stage in time?

Living a horrible existence inside a New York City orphanage, Annie Bennett dreams of her parents coming to take her back but instead decides to break out and find them instead. Discovered in a nearby town, she is returned to the orphanage and punished by the horrible Miss Hannigan. The assistant to a local billionaire comes to the orphanage in search of a child to come spend Christmas at the Warbucks mansion and chooses Annie. So taken by her, Daddy Warbucks decides to adopt her, infuriating Miss Hannigan. Warbucks puts Annie on a radio program and offers $50,000 for the couple who can prove they are her biological parents. Hannigan, her rotten brother and his girlfriend try to figure out a way to pose as Annie’s parents and steal the money. With the help of the president, the Secret Service and Daddy Warbucks, the Hard Knock Life appears to be in the rearview mirror for Annie and her friends at the orphanage.

Elephant and Piggy, We Are in a Play! Is perfect for young audiences. The adventure follows the two “bestus” on a day where anything is possible as they go to a party thrown by three singing squirrels known as the Squirelles. Gerald the Elephant is worried something may happen that could come between him and Piggy to end their friendship.

Anon(ymous) follows a young refugee who gets separated from his mother and travels across the U.S. meeting some great and other not so great folks along the way as he searches for his family.

There’s one more production they’re keeping close to the vest, so stay tuned for the next big announcement this summer.
