(KNSI) – A place in St. Cloud committed to preserving history is looking for a few ‘handymen’ to help.

The Stearns History Museum is teaming up with Reuse Minnesota and other organizations to teach local residents how to keep their homes’ original character and restore them to glory. The Fix-It Clinic classes will also focus on preserving items such as furniture or other heirlooms. But to do so, they need volunteers willing to pass along their knowledge.

Even those under 18 are welcome to pass along their knowledge of the trades through the courses. Events will take place about once a quarter to start, with the potential to increase in the future.

Chisago, Dodge, and Olmsted County are also taking part, as is the Pope/Douglas Solid Waste Management department.
