(KNSI) – Monday is a federal holiday honoring the birthday of founding father George Washington.
While technically February 22nd, it is observed on the third Monday of the month now. The date sits between the birthdays of Washington and Abraham Lincoln. Most refer to the holiday as Presidents’ Day. It will cause some changes to the normal routine.
City, county, state, and federal government offices will be closed in observance. Downtown St. Cloud parking will be free. Most city services, though, will continue as normal, including trash pickup and recycling.
The stock market, many financial institutions, and the post office are closed. Restaurants and retailers will almost all have normal Monday hours.
