(KNSI) – ‘Second verse, same as the first’ applies to this year’s St. Cloud Rox squad.

The club announced five more returning players for the upcoming summer season, bringing the total to nine who are back for another whirl at Joe Faber Field. Several former Northwoods League all-stars, including Hunter Day, Brandon Jaenke, and Tyler Bishop, are among the group.

A member of the University of Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks, Bishop batted .295 and brought home 43 RBIs. He lines up as an infielder defensively.

The other returners revealed Thursday include Ryan Rushing, a pitcher from the University of Indiana. The Hoosier had 42 strikeouts, good for eighth most in Rox single-season history. Nathan Anderson is a right-handed hurler from Creighton University. He sported a 2.84 ERA out of the bullpen last year. Marcus Kruzan pitches in-state, down in St. Paul at the University of St. Thomas.

The last returning player in Thursday’s announcement was Kaden Amundson, a St. Michael-Albertville High School graduate playing college ball at Arkansas State University.
