(KNSI) – After sorting through more than 7,300 submissions, the 50 finalists for the Minnesota Department of Transportation’s 2025 Name a Snowplow Contest have been announced.

Many of the names went the music route such as 867-530 Brine, Meltin’ John, Bob Chillin’, Plowin’ in the Wind, Chilly Eilish, Salt Me Baby One More Time, Say It Ain’t Snow, and Snowtorious B.I.G. Others went with playful takes on sports like Anthony Sledwards, Miracle On Ice, Rudy GoBurr, SKOL Plow, and Joe Plower. Some were Minnesota-centric and punny. For example, L’Plow du Nord, Make Snowbegone, MinneSNOWta N’ice, Don’tcha Snow, Flake Superior, Snow Country for Old Men, James J. Chill, The North Plow, Lady Slippery, We’re off to See the Blizzard, and Land of 10,000 Snows.

Other names include Aaron Brrrr Sir, Accumulus Removeus, Albert Icestein, Austin Plowers, Brrrtha, Frosty the Snowplow, Snow Big Deal, Snow Place Like Home, Just Scraping By, and I Came, I Thaw, I Conquered.

The public can vote once and select up to eight names. Voting is open until noon Friday, February 7th.
