(KNSI)—The Paynesville Area Community Foundation will accept applications in February and March to support local nonprofits and public-sector organizations.
To qualify, a group has to be registered as a 501(c)3 or be a school or government entity within the Paynesville Area School District boundaries. The grants focus on six primary areas: arts and culture, civic, education, health, recreation, and social services.
Last year, the grants totaled $38,000. They were awarded to four organizations, helping support building an early childhood playground, adding lighting to the youth baseball field, equipping Lake Henry Fire and Rescue, and bolstering the Paynesville Historical Society’s Kids History Camp.
