(KNSI) – St. Cloud Area Schools have finalized plans to bring a pair of questions surrounding improvements at Apollo High School before voters via a bond referendum on April 8th.

Question One would raise funds to install a secure entrance and several enhancements for technical education classes. An ambulance bay and health care lab would be installed to prepare students for careers in medicine and emergency management. One of the automotive technician bays would be expanded to allow work with diesel engines. Advanced computing stations would be handy for engineering and manufacturing.

The culinary lab for food service and hospitality trades and the theater, which will facilitate advanced fine arts education, are also set to be upgraded.

Question Two is for athletics. A new indoor multipurpose facility would feature a full-size turf field and walking track. It would allow for year-round practices and could be rented out to community groups.

Question One must pass, or Question Two automatically fails, regardless of the vote. The estimated tax impact for a homeowner is $3.33 per month assuming their property is assessed at $250,000.
