(KNSI) – The St. Cloud Rox pitching staff will be anchored by a pair of Northwoods League veterans in 2025.

Starter Hunter Day and reliever Brandon Jaenke will return for their fourth consecutive seasons with the club this summer. Day was an all-star last year and the team’s co-pitcher of the year. Day hurled 52 innings with an earned run average of 3.46. In 2022, he was 8-0 and set the Rox single-season win record. Day is part of the rotation for Minnesota State University – Mankato.

Jaenke was also an all-star. He pitched 24.2 innings in 2024 and racked up an insane 44 strikeouts, a K/9 ratio of over sixteen. Jaenke has been solid in all three years as a pitcher for the team, totaling 93 strikeouts in 57 innings.

The Rox as a team have been exceptional during Day and Jaenke’s tenure, winning a regular season division crown, making the league title game, and qualifying three times for the playoffs. The 2025 season begins in late May with a four-game road trip. The home opener is Friday, May 30th.
