(KNSI) — St. Cloud Technical & Community College has hired a dean to head up its new department.
The local college has named Rebecca Krystyniak Dean of Academic Innovation & Success. The newly created position will work with the J.A. Wedum Center for Student Success. The center will be a new campus space combined with a comprehensive plan to improve the graduation rates of first-generation college students.
According to the school, SCTCC serves around 2,800 students who are the first in their families to go to college. A $2 million challenge gift from the J.A. Wedum Foundation supports the program.
