(KNSI) – The Stearns County Parks Department is touting miles of multi-use trails that are groomed and ready for use.
The paths are good for dog walking, fat tire biking, winter hiking, and snowshoeing. Crews have packed down about two miles of trails at Rockville County Park and a mile of paths at Two Rivers Lake County Park, north of Albany.
Kraemer Lake-Wildwood, Mississippi River, Warner Lake, and Quarry Parks are best known for skiing but also have multi-use routes. Just look for the banners.
Another option for outdoor enthusiasts comes courtesy of the City of Waite Park. The ice rink at River’s Edge Par is open for the season. There is no one able to work the warming house, though. The city recommends taking the chill off inside your vehicle.
State Parks will be offering free admission on Monday, January 20th.
