(KNSI) — No one was hurt, but the St. Cloud Fire Department says it responded to a hazmat incident at the St. Cloud Water Treatment Facility on Thursday.

According to a critical incident report, crews were called out to the 1000 block of 5th Avenue North just before 2:30 for a liquid oxygen leak coming from a storage tank. They found an active leak in a rooftop tank system. The department has a hazmat unit that specializes in these types of incidents. They were able to identify the source, shut the system off and ventilate the area.

The building and nearby vehicles were monitored and ventilated for any hazardous fumes.

The cause of the leak is under investigation.
