(KNSI) – Area DFL state legislators are looking to hear from constituents ahead of the start of work in St. Paul.
District 14 senator Aric Putnam is first up, scheduling a town hall for Monday night from 6:00 to 8:00 in the Mississippi Room of the Great River Regional Library in downtown St. Cloud. The meeting is meant to take the temperature of area residents, allowing them a chance to ask questions. It will also give the senator and his staff a chance to find out what issues are considered most important. Putnam plans to offer his legislative priorities, seeing as senators were not up for election in the most recent cycle.
District 14B representative Dan Wolgamott will set up shop at the library in the Bremer Room on Saturday for office hours from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Dubbed ‘Donuts with Dan,’ all residents are invited but they have to RSVP by email. That will allow staff to set up a time and give Rep. Wolgamott a heads-up on what topics are going to come up. To indicate you are coming, email Rep.Dan.Wolgamott@house.mn.gov and put ‘Donuts With Dan’ in the subject line.
The state house and senate will begin the 2025 session on Tuesday, January 14th. It ends the week before Memorial Day.
