(KNSI) – The lack of the white stuff has led to the cancelation of this weekend’s Skiing/Sledding/Snowshoe Sunday.

St. Cloud Park and Recreation plans to hold the events each Sunday in January at Riverside Park. There’s no snow in the immediate forecast, so we’ll have to wait and see if next weekend’s event will take place.

But if you’re looking for outdoor opportunities, there’s ice skating. The recent cold snap has firmed up Lake George, leading to the warming house being open from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on weekdays and 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. on weekends. Skate trainers, hockey nets, broomball equipment, and sensory kits are available at the facility.

On Saturday, January 4th, join other Taylor Swift fans for the Eras Swiftie Skate. From 4:30 to 8:00 p.m., the free event will be on Lake George under the lights. Hot chocolate, popcorn, and friendship bracelets will be available in the warming shelter while supplies last. Everyone is encouraged to bring their own skates. Limited skates are available for free use, but sizes are not guaranteed and are given on a first-come, first-serve basis.
