(KNSI) – St. Joseph residents are being warned about potential water discoloration this afternoon.
City officials say it is not a health hazard and a fairly simple fix exists. If the water coming from the faucet is murky or brownish in color, run it on cold for up to 20 minutes. Officials also point out that the discoloration could affect washing machines. Don’t run a load of whites until the water has cleared up.
KNSI News reached out on what is causing the discoloration but has not heard back yet.
