(KNSI) – A man awaits his fate after admitting to fleeing police in a stolen truck and causing a crash that killed a Becker man.
Bradley Alfred Allen Johnson pleaded guilty to fleeing an officer resulting in death, receiving stolen property and criminal vehicular operation on Thursday. The agreement calls for the 21-year-old to be sentenced to just over 13 years on March 7th.
The Montrose man was driving a pickup on July 6th on Highway 10 near St. Cloud when a Sherburne deputy spotted the truck, which had been reported stolen. The deputy began following the vehicle exceeding 100 mph and attempted to stop it.
The deputy lost sight of the vehicle in Becker. A short time later, the deputy saw a cloud of dust and debris after Johnson caused a multiple-car wreck on Highway 10 near Liberty Lane.

Christopher James Vyskocil was driving the vehicle that was hit first. The 36-year-old man was critically injured and died nine days later. He leaves behind a wife and children. The driver of a second vehicle hit by Johnson survived.
Johnson told investigators at the crash scene that he had ingested heroin about five hours before the crash. Testing of his blood showed the presence of fentanyl. Court records show he has been convicted three times in 2024 for driving with a revoked license. He’s also been convicted twice this year for driving without insurance and was fined twice last year for speeding.
