(KNSI) — Today is the last day to get in on a favorite annual tradition.
Submissions close at noon for the fifth annual Minnesota Department of Transportation asks folks to don their thinking caps for the 2025 Name a Snowplow Contest.
Witty, unique, Minnesota-inspired or winter-themed ideas are encouraged. By the way, Plowy McPlowface has already been chosen.
Only one name can be submitted per person and keep it short and sweet. Plows are big, but for the names, only 30 characters, including letters and spaces, are allowed. It’s also family friendly, so keep it clean. Like conversation in polite company, politics are not allowed, so politically inspired names, phrases or slogans won’t be considered. It’s meant to be nonpartisan, fun and lighthearted. Past winners such as Betty Whiteout, Beyonsleigh, Darth Blader, Sleetwood Mac, and Taylor Drift are off limits.
The finalists will be announced in January.
