(KNSI) – Minnesota minimum wage workers are getting a raise.
Starting January 1st, the minimum hourly wage will increase to $11.13 from its current $10.85. The pay scale is being adjusted for inflation for all employers. The law still allows for a 90-day training wage for workers under age 20. The current training wage of $8.85 will increase to $9.08.
With the increase in Minnesota’s minimum hourly wage, workers working 40 hours a week will make $23,150 a year.
The state rates will not apply to work in Minneapolis and St. Paul, which have higher minimum requirements. In 2025, the minimum wage for large employers in those cities will be $15.97 an hour.
