(KNSI) – A local organization is looking for volunteers to help wrap over 600 presents this Saturday at the St. Cloud branch of the Great River Regional Library.

The Power of People Leadership Institute is seeking helpers to ready presents for those in its Girls Taking Action and Boys of Hope programs. It received the toys in a gift drive that was held in November. They’ll eventually be handed out to students at 17 different schools across the state.

The event runs from noon to 2:00 p.m. Wrapping paper, scissors, and tape will be provided. All that’s missing is the human touch to create a crease so sublime that people won’t want to tear it off and find out what’s underneath. Any misplaced crinkles are not allowed.

Organizers encourage volunteers to don an ugly Christmas sweater while at the wrap-a-thon.
