(KNSI) — The National Weather Service says fall 2024 was the warmest on record in St. Cloud.
From September through November, the area saw an average temperature of 51.9 degrees, which is 6.5 degrees warmer than normal. September saw 19 days in the 80s, with two records set. On the 28th and 29th, the official daily high was 87 and 84, respectively. For October, we saw three days where it was at least 80 and set a record high on the 28th at 77. Minnesota was going to Minnesota, though, as three days later, we received a dumping of snow and had a high of 43. In November, we had seven days at 50 or above. The warmest day was the 8th when it got to 57.
For winter, it is forecast to be closer to normal temperature-wise, but may be slightly snowier.
