(KNSI) — St. Cloud Financial Credit Union and St. Cloud Subaru presented a check to Sartell High School to support the fight to tackle cancer.

Fans decked out in pink packed the Sartell Football Field for the Tackle Cancer game on October 11th in a show of solidarity for the cause. During halftime, Jed Meyer, SCFCU President and CEO and St. Cloud Subaru’s Bobby Konnight announced that their organizations would match the total amount raised in 2024, hoping it would surpass what was raised last year. They did it.

Last year, they raised $10,000. Thanks to donations from the surrounding community and money raised throughout the game, over $10,400 was raised this year between the proceeds from merchandise sales, raffle tickets, and donations. Proceeds will benefit the Randy Shaver Cancer Research & Community Fund and TriUnity Foundation, both dedicated to supporting the cancer community and those with terminal illnesses.
