(KNSI) – St. Cloud State University has expanded a program aimed at getting more students a four-year degree.

SCSU has teamed up with North Hennepin Community College, making it the third two-year school to become an EDVANTAGE partner. The others are Ridgewater College and St. Cloud Technical and Community College.

The EDVANTAGE program is designed for students who want to begin their college experience at a community college but ultimately want to earn a bachelor’s degree. Students must spend two years at one of the other schools and then two years at SCSU, completing their bachelor’s degree.

Students get early access to SCSU advisors, are guaranteed admission after completing their two-year degree and receive a $500 scholarship for their first semester at SCSU.
