(KNSI) – Five area community choirs are teaming up to put on a benefit performance for Catholic Charities Emergency Services Food Shelf this weekend.

Sponsored by St. Mary’s Cathedral and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, the 2024 Come Thou Fount choral concert will celebrate the Thanksgiving season. And in the spirit of the holiday, it aims to help ensure every central Minnesota family has a table filled with food for November and beyond.

The show is scheduled for Saturday, the 16th, at 7:00 p.m. at the cathedral in downtown St. Cloud. The Atonement Lutheran Choir, Central Minnesota Saints, Minnesota Center Chorale, St. John’s Boys’ Choir, and the St. Mary’s Cathedral Choir are included.

Catholic Charities Emergency Services program manager Eric Vollen is also the music minister for Atonement Lutheran Church. He says, “ThisĀ concertĀ is special to me as it combines two of my passions: raising awareness and support of our neighbors experiencing food insecurity and creating and sharing beautiful music that nourishes the souls of all in our community.”

To enter the concert, attendees are asked to bring nonperishable food items or make a monetary donation to Catholic Charities Food Shelf.
