(KNSI) – A 40-year-old Big Lake woman has died following a crash on Highway 10 in Big Lake Township Wednesday morning.
The Minnesota State Patrol says a 25-year-old Elk River man was driving west on Highway 10 when the driver of a Nissan Altima crossed the road at 172nd Street Northwest, and the two cars collided in the intersection. Danielle Hayes was airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center, where she died. The man was taken to Mercy Hospital for treatment.
It happened at 7:40 during the busy morning rush.
