(KNSI) — The Winona man accused of kidnapping and killing his ex-girlfriend has been found guilty.
The jury found Adam Fravel guilty on all charges. He was charged with premeditated first-degree murder, first-degree murder with a past pattern of domestic abuse, second-degree murder with intent, and second-degree murder while committing a felony.
Prosecutors said Fravel and Madeline Kingsbury dropped off their children at daycare on March 23rd, 2023; that was the last anyone had seen or heard from her. She was reported missing on March 31st, and he was the primary suspect. Fravel was arrested after Kingsbury’s body showed up months later dumped in a culvert, wrapped in a bed sheet with a towel knotted around her head near where Fravel’s parents live.
A first-degree murder conviction automatically triggers a life sentence without parole.
