(KNSI) — Among all of the races Tuesday, there were three races for local school boards that were decided.
The St. Cloud Area School District 742 Board of Education had seven candidates running for four open at-large seats. The incumbents were Al Dahlgren, Shannon Haws, Scott Andreasen, and Monica Segura-Schwartz. Other challengers on the ticket were Yoanna Ayala-Zaldana, Diana Fenton, and Bruce Hentges.
Voters selected Hentges (18.75%), Haws (17.5%), Fenton (16.18%), and Andreasen (15.89%) for the board. Dahlgren received 13.13%, Segura-Schwartz received 12.37%, and Ayala-Zaldana received 5.63%.
The Sartell St. Stephen District 748 Board of Education picked three candidates from a pool of six. They are Aaron Alexander, Michael Gruber, incumbent Tricia Meling, incumbent Matthew Moehrle, Michael Ringstad and Chelsea Thielen.
Voters selected Thielen (19.26%), Meling (17.61%), and Moehrle (17.08%). The other vote-getters finished with Ringstad getting 16.12%, Gruber ending with 15.95%, and Alexander finishing with 13.76%.
Voters in the Sauk Rapids Rice School District 47 Board of Education race sent four candidates to the board from a panel of five. The candidates were newcomer NiCole JH Broman, and incumbents Ryan Butkowski, Samantha Dwyer, Mark Hauck, and Tracy Morse.
All of the incumbents won back their seats, with Butkowski garnering 22.45%, Hauck receiving 21.21%, Dwyer getting 20.53%, and Morse getting 19.7%. Bowman finished with 15.65%.
