(KNSI) – With Old Man Winter dropping his first flakes of snow, it’s a good reminder that parking restrictions go into effect Friday.

The seasonal restrictions remain in effect until April 1st, regardless of snowfall. Violators will be given a ticket and, if a snow emergency is declared, will be towed.

There are three different parking regulations in St. Cloud. Parking is based on odd/even days in the city’s seven core neighborhoods. On odd-numbered days, drivers should park on the even side of the street between 1:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. On even-numbered days, drivers must park on the odd side of the street.

The rest of the city, except near St. Cloud State University’s campus, has a seasonal parking ban. That means parking isn’t allowed on any public street between 1:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. If the street is paved and less than 32 feet wide, there is no parking at any time.

Around SCSU, it alternates by day. Some streets have no parking on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, while other roads ban leaving your car overnight on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Sartell’s and St. Augusta’s parking restrictions bar cars from being on any street or alleyway between 1:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.

Street parking is prohibited between 2:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. in Sauk Rapids, St. Joseph, and Waite Park.

Foley demands cars park off the road in the winter between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.
