(KNSI) – The St. Cloud Police Department says it has a suspect in custody who is believed to have robbed the same gas station three times in October.
The incidents happened on October 15th at about 3:10 p.m., the 20th at 2:40 p.m., and the 23rd just after 1:50 p.m. at the Marathon station in the 700 block of 9th Avenue South. In the first case, a man flashed a handgun. It was found by officers nearby and turned out to be a toy. In the second robbery, he implied to the clerk that he had a gun in his pocket but never showed it. The last time, the man jumped over the counter and personally pulled money from the register.
The Community Response Team took 10 days to identify a suspect and track him to a home in the 3600 block of West St. Germain Street. They took Camden Alexander Jackson into custody as he walked out of the front door.
Jackson is booked into the Stearns County Jail on a charge of aggravated 2nd degree robbery.
