(KNSI) – The National Weather Service says St. Cloud broke the record for our daily high on Monday.

The old record for October 28th was 74. The predicted high was 73, but thanks to the sunshine, we topped out at 77, around the average high we typically see at the beginning of August.

Tuesday won’t be quite as warm, but we still have the potential to tie or set a record. The October 29th record is 73, with the forecasted high of 72.

A wet pattern sets in overnight Tuesday into Wednesday as showers become more likely, and a rumble of thunder or two is not out of the question. Wednesday, temps will gall throughout the day with showers likely and then Mother Nature pulls a nasty trick with a mix of rain and snow possible for Halloween.

November starts with sunshine and the low 50s, which is closer to average.
