(KNSI) – A Freeport woman was killed after she was hit by a semi-truck Tuesday morning.
According to a press release from the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office, around 11:20, 79-year-old Cyrilla Michael was riding west on the Soo Line Trail, just south of Bowlus in Two Rivers Township. As Michael approached 120th Avenue, she failed to yield to the semi. Michael was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 70-year-old semi-driver from Bowlus was not hurt.
