(KNSI) — A GoFundMe campaign in support of an Annandale High School football player who suffered a severe leg injury needs some help reaching its goal.
Junior running back Isaiah Turner was hurt during the Friday, October 11th game against Foley. Turner needed two surgeries to repair the damage done but was readmitted to the hospital with a major infection.
The page says Turner is battling an extremely painful condition known as compartment syndrome. It occurs when inflammation from internal bleeding or tissue swelling cuts off blood flow to a group of muscles and nerves.
