(KNSI) – Metro Bus is rolling out a time-worn tradition to get voters to the polls on Election Day.
Anyone headed to cast a vote on Tuesday, November 5th, can ride for free. This applies to Fixed Route, Northstar Link and Dial-a-Ride customers. Just let the bus operator or dispatcher know before you pull away from the station.
Metro Bus is dusting off its annual salute to veterans the following week. On Monday, November 11th, all vets and active military members can take advantage of complimentary rides. They will need military ID to take advantage of the offer.
Metro Bus says the holiday is important for the company. Veterans make up a large percentage of the riders and are well-represented on its staff.
