(KNSI) – From cute princesses to caped crime fighters and even the scariest of goblins, there’s room for it at all on Saturday, October 26th, at the Kids and Parents Expo.
Leighton Media Executive Director of Events Cole Erie runs down just some of the Halloween fun planned. “Everybody who comes to the event is going to get a swag bag full of goodies. There is face painting happening at the event. There’s making Halloween masks. You can make other crafts, do pumpkin painting. And then there’s going to be a trick-or-treat hour as well.”
Kids get in free, and adults can buy $12 tickets at the door of the River’s Edge Convention Center. Bounce houses, laser tag, and educational booths from vendors throughout the area will also be included from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Erie says his favorite part is the creativity of the outfits. “We see families dressing up with family-themed costumes, where mom and dad are getting involved too, sometimes even the stroller. We do have a costume contest going on this year as well, so the littles can get entered in for that. And there’s going to be voting taking place on our Facebook page after the fact.”
The event is a perfect trial run for the big night, Halloween, the following Thursday.
