(KNSI) – Funeral services have been set for a Rice teenager who died Saturday in an accident at Harvest of Horror Haunted Hayride in St. Augusta.

Alexander “Xander” Steven Mick was killed after he was run over by a trolley wagon being pulled by a tractor. Life-saving measures were taken but were unsuccessful, and the 13-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

Visitation is on Sunday at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids, and the funeral will be on Monday at 2:00 p.m. inside Discovery Church in Sauk Rapids. He will be laid to rest at Cloverleaf Memorial Park Cemetery in Willmar later.

Mick was an 8th grader at Sauk Rapids-Rice Middle School, where he was in band, choir, robotics, and soccer. He also was a junior black belt in Taekwondo and on the verge of earning his rank as an Eagle Scout. Mick’s family described him as helpful and energetic, with a great sense of humor, an infectious smile and who saw the good in everyone.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help his family pay for medical and funeral expenses. To donate, click here.
