(KNSI) – The St. Cloud Area School District has launched a new program to help guide graduating seniors on their path after high school.

District 742 is teaming up with local colleges and the Greater St. Cloud Area workforce to support seniors in creating plans for their future. During October, every senior is expected to submit applications to St. Cloud Technical & Community College, St. Cloud State University, the College of Saint Benedict/Saint John’s University or another school. If that’s not the senior’s cup of tea, they can instead meet with military recruiters to explore a career in the armed forces or connect with local employers seeking to hire new workers.

The district is looking for community volunteers to mentor and help students with college applications, military recruitment, and career exploration.

The first event is Monday, October 21st, at Tech High School from 8:30-10:30 a.m., and the second is Tuesday, October 29th, at Apollo High School from 8:30-10:30 a.m.
