(KNSI) – Construction starts today on new Little League baseball fields north of Sauk Rapids-Rice High School.
The “dirt work” will involve excavation, grading, and other tasks to prepare the area. It will continue until it gets too cold outside.
Officials with the school district are asking drivers to be careful. During construction, there will be increased traffic and equipment activity around the site, including along Water Tower Road. Osauka Road will be the access point to the high school and district office. School buses will continue to use Water Tower Road.
Anyone who wants more information about the fields can contact the City of Sauk Rapids at 320-258-5300. Those who have questions about accessing the high school can call the office at 320-253-4700. Anyone concerned about how to access the district offices can call 320-253-4703.
