(KNSI) – The Minnesota National Guard will recognize eight individuals for their service and contributions to the organization at the 2024 Flight of Honor ceremony.

“These honorees have left a lasting impact on our organization,” said Brig. Gen. Chris Blomquist, Minnesota Air National Guard Chief of Staff. “Their legacy will continue to inspire future generations.”

The Flight of Honor recognizes Airmen from the 148th Fighter Wing, 133rd Airlift Wing, and Joint Force Headquarters who have demonstrated outstanding professional achievement, service, or heroism. This year’s inductees include:

Brig. Gen. (Retired) Greg A. Haase
Col. (Retired) Thomas J. Simonet
Lt. Col. (Retired) Joel D. Manns
Chief Master Sgt. (Retired) Eugene J. Andreotti (Deceased)
Chief Master Sgt. (Retired) Frank NMI Bucar
Chief Master Sgt. (Retired) Stephanie Y. Fehringer (Deceased)
Master Sgt. (Retired) David Blazevic

The ceremony is October 10th and will begin with brunch at 11:00 a.m. at the Great Lakes Dining Facility, followed by an optional chapel service and the main induction ceremony at 12:30 p.m. A memorial service will then be held in the outdoor monument area.

The Flight of Honor program was established in 2021 to commemorate the 133rd Airlift Wing’s 100th anniversary. The ceremony rotates between the Duluth-based 148th Fighter Wing and the Minneapolis-based 133rd Airlift Wing each year.
