(KNSI) – St. Cloud’s top administrator has been offered a three-year contract extension after getting a glowing review from the school board earlier this year.
In June, officials reviewed Superintendent Dr. Laurie Putnam’s performance and, on Wednesday, followed it up with an official contract extension. The agreement includes a 4% raise in year one, followed by a 3.42% raise and a 2.89% increase in year three, bumping her salary from around $125,000 to $138,400. She would also get two more vacation days, bringing her total to 27 a year. She would also get Juneteenth as a day off, increasing her monthly technology stipend from $120 to $150 and upping her 403b retirement match from $10,000 to $11,500 annually. She will also get a one-time bonus of $3,000 for earning her doctoral degree in educational leadership and administration.
According to state data, Putnam’s current salary under contract is about 7% lower than the average superintendent in Minnesota.
