(KNSI) – The St. Cloud compost site has announced its 2024 season will end on Saturday, November 23rd.

The date is weather-dependent, so don’t wait until the last minute if you don’t have to. Area residents use the location to dispose of yard waste from grass clippings and leaves to brush and tree stumps. As trees lose their leaves later than normal this year, it may butt up against the end of the season.

Annual permits are required to use the St. Cloud River Bluffs Regional Park Compost Site. They cost between $30 and $50, depending on your category. Hours are noon to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. It shifts to 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday and 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. The compost pile is located near County Road 75 on 33rd Street South.
