(KNSI) – Several St. Cloud homes have recently been burglarized, with almost all incidents happening in the early to mid-morning hours.

Officials say in a press release the suspect has been active for roughly the past week. They are cutting through screens and gaining access to homes from unlocked windows. The crimes are occurring over a wide geographic area between 9th Avenue and Cooper Avenue. Most of the incidents are on the south side of the city.

On Tuesday, the burglaries were concentrated between 7th and 8th Streets South from Washington Memorial Drive to 18th Avenue South from 6:00 to 10:00 a.m. Around 7:30, the person appeared to have been working near 17th Avenue and 2nd Street North.

The department is asking residents living in the areas affected with home surveillance cameras to look through the recent footage and see if anything suspicious stands out. If you think you might have something that can help with the investigation, call the SCPD at 320-251-1200 or Tri-County Crime Stoppers at 800-255-1301.
