(KNSI) – The Minnesota Historical Society invites the public to see the Charles Lindbergh House and Museum like never before.

Site Manager Kayla Stielow promises a unique and memorable experience if you tour the residence while it’s masked in long shadows during Lindbergh After Dark.

“Instead of turning on lights, we are doing everything by flashlight, so it’s a new way to explore the home and still learn about the history and the hijinks that are connected to our site’s history.”

An event scheduled for the nighttime around Halloween was intentional. Stielow says you won’t run into the Blair Witch or Michael Myers, but she notes that there will be a spooky feel as you walk through. “Our house is definitely not haunted, so people don’t need to worry about that, but we will be adding some information that might be a little scarier than what people would generally experience here during the daylight hours.”

The events are slated for 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. on October 19th and 26th. Lindbergh After Dark is special programming for the fall. More activities are planned during the holiday season and online early in the new year. They typically attract first-time guests to the facility near Little Falls.

The event is included with regular site admission, which is $10. The museum is the childhood home of Charles Lindbergh, who successfully flew across the Atlantic Ocean in 1927.
