(KNSI) – Enrolling in higher education next month is both book smart and street smart.
October is Minnesota State Month, meaning the 26 colleges and seven universities in the system offer discounts such as waiving undergraduate application fees. Schools in the system include St. Cloud State University and St. Cloud Technical and Community College.
Students can also take advantage while undergraduate tuition is frozen at 2022 levels. That will end in the spring of 2025. Students from families with an income of less than $80,000 may qualify for tuition-free schooling through the North Star Promise.
Students can also save by taking advantage of the Workforce Development Scholarships. They encourage applicants to enter programs in high-demand jobs such as education, public safety, construction, advanced manufacturing, agriculture, health care, information technology, and transportation.
