(KNSI) – Tails wagged, and the cash register sang at Woofstock.
The Tri-County Humane Society reports that the annual Companion Walk for Animals event raised $38,600 for the rescue shelter. The funds bolster operations.
TCHS cares for roughly 5,000 animals each year, making sure they receive basic care and medical attention before placing them with an adoptive family. Woofstock consisted of a pet-friendly walk, a costume contest, a low-cost microchip clinic, and vendors.
In 2024, the Tri-County Humane Society is marking its 50th anniversary serving central Minnesota.
