(KNSI) – The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension says a three-year-old girl who went missing Sunday afternoon has been recovered.
Officials say Alliyah Evans went missing around noon on Sunday. Investigators say the toddler was left by her mother with a homeless acquaintance outside the Target store at 2500 Lake Street East in Minneapolis while her mother went inside. The acquaintance left with the child without the mother’s permission.
The BCA says Alliyah was found and is safe. They did not say where she was found or who she was found with, nor did they mention any potential consequences or charges against the mother or the acquaintance.
