(KNSI)—Good news for drivers: All lanes on Highway 23 from Milaca to Bock will be open by Friday afternoon, September 13th, marking the successful completion of the $6.5 million project.

This project, which began in mid-May, resurfaced and improved 12 miles of Highway 23. A brand new asphalt surface was laid, including improved shoulders. New pipes and bridges help manage water runoff, reducing the risk of flooding and improving road longevity. Drivers will also find realigned intersections and new left turn lanes to improve traffic flow. There are also updated reflective markings, rumble strips, and shoulder barriers to enhance visibility at night and during bad weather.

While minor shoulder or lane closures may occur as crews finalize the project, the major detour is lifted.
