(KNSI) – Wet your whistle while enjoying local and regional specialties at the St. Cloud Craft Beer and Ciderfest this Weekend.

The suds will be poured at Dick Putz Field field from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. for VIP attendees and from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. for general admission tickets. Leighton Media Executive Director of Events Cole Erie told KNSI News VIPs will get to guzzle from a larger glass this year. “It’s something brand new that we’re doing this year for the event. For all VIP attendees, they’re going to receive an actual 10-ounce glass VIP Chalice, which is a tulip style glass, so it’s a real sampling glass for the event this year.”

The old sample size was five ounces. VIPs will also get the first hour of the event to themselves and have access to specialty beers and ciders. Erie says this is his favorite time of year to hold the event. “It’s lots of fun. The whole idea is we’re wrapping up summer. We’re kicking off fall. We want to give an opportunity to our local breweries and cideries and give them a chance to showcase their products.”

Attendees will also get to cast a ballot for their favorites. Thirty-nine drink makers are competing for titles such as best brewery, best cider and the Brewers Cup.

You can save $10 by getting your tickets at Cash Wise Liqours and Coborn’s grocery stores, or you can save $5 online by clicking here.

General admission and a limited number of VIP tickets will be available at the gate.
