(KNSI) – An 18-year-old from Little Falls was hospitalized after she was hit by a vehicle while on her scooter.
The accident happened Sunday night just before 8:30 in nearby Belle Prairie Township. The teen was going against traffic, heading north on the southbound shoulder of the road. The 2015 Jeep was slowing down to make a right. As it entered the turn lane, it clipped the scooter.
The teenager was not wearing a helmet or any reflective clothing, even though she was out after sunset. She was taken to St. Gabriel’s Hospital.
The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office says she suffered unknown injuries. The driver of the Jeep was not hurt. The crash is still under investigation.
