(KNSI) – Feel the burn for a good cause.

The first-ever Sweat For Vets block party is being organized tomorrow by All-Star Nutrition, beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the Midtown Mall parking lot. The business will team up with Buffalo Wild Wings, Orangetheory Fitness, and about a dozen other local companies.

Regional Manager Jordan Bialke says “Sweat for Vets” is a healthy way to have fun for all ages. “We work with a lot of gyms in town, and we’re big about supporting veterans, military, first responders. We thought, what better way than a little charity workout event where we could get a bunch of businesses together, and give away some cool prizes and make it like a cool family event?”

A 30-minute workout, bounce houses, and a wing-eating contest are some of the highlights. Bialke says they are expecting a big debut event.

“Our goal is $1,500 raised the first year here, and we look to continue doing it annually with 100% of the proceeds going to St Cloud StandDown.”

The non-profit runs a barbershop, men’s and women’s stores, and a veterans resource center. The organization helps you to get a hot meal, dry socks, and whatever else you need to get your boots on the ground and transition back into civilian life.
